We are looking for a highly motivated qualified Early Years Practitioner, who is enthusiastic, innovative, and passionate about improving outcomes from birth to five years. We have an excellent in-house training programme and commitment to your own continuous professional development; you will need a willingness to undertake further training including some weekends and evenings.

We are currently looking to recruit a Level 3 Practitioner or a Level 3 Early Years Educator.

It is essential that you have:

  • A sound knowledge of child development from Birth to Five years of age
  • A knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children procedures/The Prevent Duty Agenda/British Values
  • Knowledge and understanding of The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal (this is essential).
  • You will be shown how to use our online planning tool.

Your primary goal is to work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences, which meet their individual needs.

The successful applicant will be flexible in the hours they can work, a minimum of 25 hours is guaranteed each week, however due to the requirements of the business, you will be required to work more hours.

Wind in the Willows Childcare is committed to safeguarding children and families, the successful applicant will have to have an enhanced DBS certificate (the cost of this will be met by the practitioner).
