I have been the Nursery Manager at Sefton since October 2016, where I am named SENCO and named Safeguarding Officer

After studying for my NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and my Assessors Awards I went on to achieve a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Early Years with the Open University.

I am an ex-military wife and I have lived and worked in numerous childcare settings all over the world, I was a Pre-School Manager in Germany and also a childcare assessor in Northern Ireland. One of my proudest achievements was receiving a commendation from The Chief of Staff of the United Nations in Cyprus for my work on the UN Base in Nicosia.

I have a wide variety of experience working with children dating back to my first nursery position in 1983. I have also worked as a Nanny, a childminder and also as Lead Practitioner of a Specialist Centre, supporting young children who had learning difficulties and disabilities and my previous job was as a Senior Portage Home Visitor for a National Children’s Charity.

Outside work I enjoy genealogy and spend weekends out and about walking and visiting new places.
