At Woolston we have been enjoying the sun and warm weather and making the most out of it whilst its here. We have been ensuring we have lots of sun cream on throughout the day and bring in our sun hats to wear when we are outside. It has been very hot and we have had lots of fun activities out in the garden mostly enjoying various water play activities; from splashing in water trays to ice cube play keeping us as cool as possible. When the weather has been a little cooler we have gone on walks in the local area to the local park and train station which was lots of fun. At the park we had a picnic tea before making the journey back to Nursery and at the Train station we saw lots of trains pulling in and going out; guessing where the train was going. During the hot weather we have also been learning how to stay safe in the sun and the children have learnt lots now knowing they need to keep suncream and hats on, spend time in the shade and drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. This has all helped to develop our knowledge and understanding, our physical skills and also learning about the effects different things have on our body!
