Children at the halloween pre-school maths activity

Halloween pre-school maths activity. Our pre-school children at Longbarn have been learning about size and measuring objects. Today we used paper clips to measure the different Halloween objects, this helped us to decide which pumpkin was bigger by counting the paper clips we had used to measure, we also counted how many paper clips it took to copy the skeletons bones and used them again to count how many legs our spider had. A fun maths activity the children wanted to play with throughout the day
The children made scary pumpkins ready for our Halloween party and made and decorated spooky spiders. We got to enjoy ghost bananas, Satsuma pumpkins for our morning snack whilst we enjoyed spider leg spaghetti and meatballs for lunch. At our party all the children at Longbarn made a huge effort and all looked amazing for our Halloween party day. Well done everyone IMG_7448
